If your family is at risk of losing water service inside of your home a new temporary assistance program could help in paying your bills.
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is rolling out their Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program, or LIHWAP, for the second time since its start. The program provides temporary assistance to households that need help with water bills or who may lose water service.
“Eligible households can receive one crisis grant for drinking water service and one crisis grant for wastewater service of up to 2500$ each,"

3rd man surrenders in Pittsburgh shootout that killed infant
Pittsburgh, Pa (AP) — The third man sought in the death of an infant who was struck by a stray bullet that went into his family's apartment during a shootout on a Pittsburgh street has turned himself in to authorities. Devon Thompson, surrendered Tuesday. The 37-year-old McKees Rocks man faces charges of criminal homicide, criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault and a weapons count, and it wasn't known Wednesday if he's retained an attorney.

Johnstown man killed in motorcycle crash on Route 30 in Westmoreland County
Westmoreland County, PA — Authorities in Westmoreland County say a Johnstown man was killed earlier this week in a motorcycle crash on Route 30.
Investigators say the crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. Monday along the 3000 block of US Route 30 in Derry Township.
Officials identified the operator of the motorcycle as 39-year-old Shawn Pynos.
Investigators say Pynos was traveling westbound when his motorcycle went off the roadway and into a gravel area.

PA priest accused of stealing $40K from church; using money to play games on his phone
South Coventry, PA — A Pennsylvania catholic priest is accused of stealing $40,000 from a Chester County parish and using that money to play games on his cell phone.
Police say Lawrence Kozak has been charged with theft and other related crimes.
Authorities say he reportedly racked up tens of thousands of dollars in expenses over three years and used some of that cash to play cell phone games like Candy Crush Saga and Pokémon Go.

Wildlife officials warn of invasive Zebra Mussels found at Raystown Lake
HUNTINGDON CO, Pa (WJAC) — Officials with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission are warning boaters and anglers to be on the lookout for invasive Zebra Mussels that were recently found at Raystown Lake in Huntingdon County.
"Adult Zebra Mussels can attach to surfaces and can be spread easily between waters if they become attached to boats or fishing gear," said Sean Hartzell, PFBC Aquatic Invasive Species Coordinator. "The microscopic larvae of the Zebra Mussel can also be spread through undrained water transported on boats or gear.
