BOALSBURG, Pa (WJAC) — Remembering fallen soldiers. That was the message at Saturday’s “Walk to Remember” 5K in Boalsburg. The second annual “Walk to Remember” at the Pennsylvania Military Museum in Boalsburg was hosted by the nonprofit “A Soldiers Hands.” The founder of the organization, Trish Shallenberger, says that there was a lack of events like the walk in Centre County. Centre Co. resident challenges Board of Elections over use of PSU student addresses for voter regist

University Park, PA (WJAC) — A Centre County election challenge regarding the addresses for Penn State students at the University Park campus is being appealed in state court. Dr. Linda Sheckler, of Bellefonte, filed the appeal last week, in state superior court, against the Centre County Board of Elections. Sheckler wants the board to drop close to 350 Penn State students from the county's list of registered voters because the campus dorms, listed as the students' addresses, have now been closed for over two years. Federal leaders testify on efforts to clear and replace collapsed Baltimore bridge

WASHINGTON (TND) — Leaders of the agencies overseeing the federal government’s response to the catastrophic collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore earlier this year testified to lawmakers about the ongoing efforts to clear the wreckage from the crash site and the monumental task facing engineers and crews to get the port reopened and plan construction for a replacement bridge. It has been over two months since the cargo ship Dali crashed into a support structure of the Key Bridge, bringing it crumbling down into the Patapsco River and killing six construction workers who were unable to escape the bridge before its collapse. Search warrant reveals new info about January PSU frat fight

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WJAC) — There’s new information about a fight that happened earlier this year at a Penn State fraternity that resulted in two members of the Nittany Lions football team being cited with disorderly conduct. According to State College police, other members of the team were involved in the fight and police say they got little to no cooperation from the university in their investigation. The Westmont Hilltop girls' basketball team received a special send off Wednesday evening ahead of their state championship game in Hershey.

The Lady Hilltoppers will take on Lancaster Catholic on Thursday in the PIAA Class 3A championship.

DeSantis criticizes recreational marijuana initiative

HUNTINGDON COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Raystown Lake authorities are warning anglers not to leave behind fishing tackle after a baby bald eagle was found dead with lines and lures in its beak and talons.
