Over a hundred people gathered today to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Roof Garden Tractor Buddies. The Roof Garden Tractor Buddies are a group of square dancing tractors here in Somerset county. They started in 2003 and have since grown in popularity and membership.
Bill Blough is a local farmer and founder of the group. He came up with the idea after reading a newspaper article about dancing tractors in Iowa and decided to create something similar here.

Seattle man accused of fatally shooting his 9-month-old sleeping child has 14 felonies
SEATTLE — A 35-year-old man is being held on $5 million bail, suspected of shooting and killing his sleeping 9-month-old baby and shooting at two others.
Seattle police responded to the shooting scene on the 3000 block of 21st Ave W in the Magnolia neighborhood Wednesday night at around 6:30 p.m.
Officers arrived to find a woman who told them her child was dead after being shot in the head. Seattle police initially detained two people in relation to the fatal shooting, but through their investigation only placed one person under arrest, the child's 35-year old father.

Suspects burglarize Windber Country Club; steal cash from Skill, payout machines
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Take a look at this! Surveillance video from inside the Windber Country Club shows two suspects burglarizing the establishment overnight.
Adams Township Police say the suspects broke in just before 3 a.m. Tuesday morning and targeted four Games of Skill machines, as well as the payout machine.
Video shows the suspects physically removing the payout machine.
Police say the machine was later found in the woods nearby, emptied of all the cash.

2nd escaped inmate captured after breaking out of Philadelphia prison
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A federal marshals fugitive task force has recaptured the second of two inmates who escaped from a Philadelphia prison earlier this month, a man who had been held on charges in four slayings, authorities said.
Ameen Hurst, 18, was taken into custody at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in west Philadelphia, according to Robert Clark, supervisory deputy of the U.S. Marshals Service in the eastern district of Pennsylvania. Authorities had been working with the family since Tuesday evening to have Hurst surrender, but several deadlines for that to happen had come and gone, Clark said.

STATE COLLEGE -- Residents of Centre County worked together to help bring a family’s dog back home earlier this week, and now the family wants to thank the thousands of people that came together who helped them.
The Giardano family said it took a team of people and some high-tech gadgets to bring their dog back home.
However, they truly believe that it was their prayers that kept their dog, Poncho, alive after he spent weeks outside in subfreezing temperatures.

Mask mandate reinstated at Atlanta liberal arts college
ATLANTA (TND) — A private liberal arts college in Atlanta said Sunday that it is reinstating a mask mandate on its campus.
Morris Brown College (MBC) announced on Instagram that it was issuing the mandate following an increase in positive cases of COVID-19 among students in the Atlanta University Center. The center oversees four Atlanta institutions and is "the world's oldest and largest association of historically Black colleges and universities," according to its website.

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Martinsburg Police Department say a Punxsutawney man is facing charges stemming from a 2019 fiery crash in Blair County that injured another man.
